On Thursday 10 September at 3.30pm and Friday 11 September at 3.30pm the new and improved play areas at Charwood Road and Ashridge Road, Wokingham (respectively) will be officially opened by Wokingham Borough Council’s executive member for environment Cllr Angus Ross.
Over the past few months, both play areas have had new equipment installed such as trampolines, multi-user seesaws, swings, multi-play units, basket swings and interactive play panels. The improvements were made through approximately £160,000 developer contributions.
Executive member for environment Cllr Angus Ross said: "Thanks to these developer contributions, and the hard work of our parks team, the new equipment at Charwood Road and Ashridge Road play areas will be enjoyed by children for many years to come. The latest equipment provides a greater range of enjoyment and challenge for our children, whilst incorporating modern safety standards."
