Students from Addington School celebrated the end of the school year during a weeklong prom.
The annual event saw musical performances from Addington and other local schools.
Sounds of drums, guitars and brass instruments marked the start of the summer holidays for many, along with concerts and singing choirs adding to the wonderful celebration.
Addington students who practiced with the keen eye of Berkshire Maestros, also had the chance to show their skills to an audience which includes their parents.
The highlight of the week was the ‘Addington’s Got Talent!’ performance, where the students who have made it through the rigorous audition process, got the opportunity to showcase their singing, playing and dancing.
Wokingham Borough Mayor Cllr Bill Soane said “I’m delighted to have attended. I’d like to wish all the students the very best for their future, and with a fantastic start at Addington, it’s guaranteed to be a great one.”
“The prom celebrations this year were a huge success,” said Sara Attra, headteacher at Addington. “The students have worked hard all year developing their musical skills, so this prom is a real recognition of their efforts.”
