Dinton Activity Centre is hosting its annual family fun weekend this coming Saturday and Sunday (4 and 5 June).
The activity centre is located within Wokingham Borough Council’s flagship country park, Dinton Pastures, and the event promises to provide something for everyone, with activities ranging from pond dipping to paddle boarding.
Every year the centre welcomes thousands of people to enjoy a wide variety of water sports and land activities. The centre is also supported by a variety of local organisations, public services and charities with exhibits, additional activities and demonstrations.
This is a great value for money event, which runs from 10am until 4pm on both days, with each 15 minute session costing just £2 per person. There will also be a variety of food and refreshments available including sweet treats, ice cream and a BBQ.
Activities include: kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, pedalos, dinghy sailing, powerboat rides, climbing, mission impossible, pond dipping discovery, mini-beast safari, human table football, Segway and disc golf.
There will also be information stands and demonstrations from: 1St Winnersh Scouts, Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, South Central Ambulance Service, Wokingham Borough Council, 1Life, Friends of Lavells Lake, Hampshire and Berkshire Disc Golf Club, Barnes Fitness and Spirt Fitness.
Cllr Angus Ross, executive member for environment, said: "Our family fun weekend has something for everyone of all ages. It is a great chance to enjoy the outdoors and try something new. All of the activities are supported by the dedicated instructor team, so it’s an enjoyable first experience. Do come along and join in the fun."
