Wokingham Borough Council is asking residents for their input to the California Cross Project which is aiming to create a real village centre for the area.
California Cross Project will see the re-design of California Cross Road at the junction of Finchampstead Road and Nine Mile Ride Road to form a key focus point for businesses, schools and residents in the area.
Wokingham Borough Council will be hosting an exhibition event about California Cross Project to provide residents with an opportunity to ask questions and make comments and observations about the project. The exhibition will take place at Finchampstead Baptist Church Centre, Gorse Ride, on Saturday 1 December (8.30am-12.30pm), Monday 3 December (2pm to 8pm) and Tuesday 4 December (9am to 1pm).
Cllr Anthony Pollock, executive member for highways and transport said: "This area is right at the heart of a local community with the primary school, the nursery school, the post office, restaurants, and many other facilities and we want to work with the community to create a place that benefits local business owners and residents where pedestrians, cyclists and vehicle traffic can co-exist"
Feedback can be provided either at the event or via the California Cross portal on the Wokingham Borough Council website. A duration of four weeks has been made available to provide feedback and comments, and therefore these will need to be submitted by 4 January 2019.
The online survey can be found by visiting www.wokingham.gov.uk and searching ‘California Cross’
