Wokingham Active Kids holiday camps are in full swing with sport loving youngsters enjoying yet another fun-filled summer and we are pleased to announce that our new dedicated cricket camp will be running 27-30 August at Cantley Park.

The cricket club, which is available for 7-12 year olds, will be running 10am-3pm and places are already filling up fast with many taking an early bird discount price of £67 (usually £79) currently available until Friday 23 August.

Limited spaces are also still available at Active Kids holidays camps for children aged 5-12 years old which are running at both Loddon Valley and St Crispin's leisure centres until 30 August. With a vast array of activities available from football and badminton, through to swimming and tennis, there is something for everyone.

Soft play sessions (Loddon only) and fun Fridays with inflatables will amuse the young ones, whilst hockey, trampolining and basketball games promise a smashing time. The extensive list of activities on offer continues with dance classes, judo, tag rugby and dodgeball only some of the choices on offer. The children will come home having loved every minute of their day.

All day (8am-6pm) sessions at Loddon Valley and St Crispin’ leisure centres cost £24 per day or £106 for a week. Shorter (9.30am-3.30pm) sessions are available with a daily price of £16 or a weekly cost of £67.

On top of the camps at the leisure centres and the cricket camp, Reading Football Club will also be running a camp at Cantley Park on 19-23 August for £79, with the Friday session being held at the Madejski stadium, the Championship club’s home ground.

“I’m thrilled that so many local children have been able to take part once again this summer with Wokingham Active Kids and the new cricket camp is a welcome addition to the programme.  This is a fantastic opportunity for children will develop new skills make new friends”.said Cllr Parry Batth , executive member for environment and leisure.

“With so many choices to sign up to across our leisure centres and Cantley Park it is going to be a tough decision for parents across the borough to make! I hope all the children taking part will all have a wonderful time.”
