Due to Covid-19, Wokingham Borough Council has taken the decision to postpone Dinton Pastures Country Show, which was set to take place on Sunday 9 August.  The event, which was due to be the first of its kind for the country park, will instead launch in summer 2021.

Dinton Pastures is working with its suppliers to discuss postponement and refund options and would like to thank everyone for their support during this difficult time. Ticketholders have been contacted and can opt for a full refund or to move their tickets to 2021.

Cllr Parry Batth, executive member for environment and leisure, said: “The safety of our staff and customers is of paramount importance. Having reviewed the risk assessment in light of the current coronavirus situation, the event just wouldn’t be what was intended.”

“The Dinton team want the country show to have the right atmosphere and be a fun filled showstopping event, which they don’t believe they can achieve with the strict social distancing measures that are likely to be in place.  We’ve therefore made the decision to postpone the event until August 2021 when Dinton can hopefully operate under more relaxed conditions.”

With an additional 15 months to prepare, next year’s launch is expected to be even bigger and better with more attractions and entertainment for attendees. Guests will be treated to falconry displays, dog agility demonstrations, live music and much more. Tickets can be purchased for 2021 on the Dinton Pastures website.
