Double the fun in new borough play areas

Double the fun in new borough play areas

07 September 2015

Charwood Road and Ashridge Road play areas are officially open after being refurbished by Wokingham Borough Council, and are now being enjoyed to the full.

During the past few months the two play areas have been revamped with new equipment such as trampolines, multi-user seesaws, swings, multi-play units, basket swings and interactive play panels.

The improvements are thanks to £160,000 in developer contributions, and were made following consultation with parents and the children who use them.

Executive member for environment Cllr Angus Ross, said: "These play areas had become tired so we took the opportunity of S106 funding to provide something new and exciting that will be enjoyed by children for many years to come."
