Urgent highway maintenance, including pothole repairs, clearing drainage system, removing debris, cutting vegetation and checking a damaged crash barrier (VRS), is required to be carried out on the section of the A329M that runs over the M4 around junction 10.
To allow this work to be carried out the A329M Bracknell bound will be closed from 8pm Saturday 9 June until 6am Sunday 10 June between the exit slip to M4 Eastbound and the M4 Westbound on slip back onto A329m.
This will mean you will not be able to drive directly from Reading/Winnersh to Wokingham/Bracknell across this junction – all traffic coming from Reading or Winnersh will be diverted on to the M4 eastbound at this junction.
It will also mean that vehicles will not be able to get on to the M4 westbound from this Bracknell bound carriageway. Access to the M4 Eastbound from the A329M will not be affected and neither will access onto the A329M from the M4.
Please be advised that if you join the A329M from Winnersh towards Bracknell you will have to follow the unavoidable diversion route down the M4 to junction 8/9.
We apologies for the short notice in providing this information. These are urgent works and we have been waiting for our contractors to receive approval from Highways England (HE) to use their roadspace.
Similar works will need to be carried on the Reading bound carriageway of the A329M in the very near future and once we have confirmation of road space from HE we will post an update
