Carnival Pool car park closure

Carnival Pool car park closure

17 May 2016
Artists impression of the Carnival Pool regeneration

As part of the multi-million pound Wokingham town centre regeneration project, Wokingham Borough Council is building a new 529 space multi-storey car park at the Carnival Pool site.

In order to build the new facility, the existing Carnival Pool car park will be closed from 6 June until Spring 2017. Disabled parking spaces will remain available on site adjacent to the leisure centre.

All businesses on site, including the swimming pool, gym, bowling alley and Burger King, will remain open as usual throughout the construction process.

To help you find alternative parking this leaflet highlights where the nearest car parks are in relation to the Carnival Pool. Full details are on the reverse of this leaflet.

Users of the pool and gym will still be able to use their block booking permits, or claim a refund (maximum three hours) in line with the current scheme when parking in the following car parks - Wellington House, the Paddocks and Elms Road multi-storey car park.

Those parking in other town centre car parks or in private car parks will be unable to claim.
