Work to provide conference facilities at Wokingham library has begun this week which will allow us to continue to support children and families in times of need.
The alterations which are expected to take three weeks will involve reconfiguring space on the ground floor around the area previously occupied by the Elevate Hub.
There will be the creation of some office space, together with some of the existing meeting rooms being altered. The services delivered by the Elevate Hub will be available in the main Council offices in Shute End.
“We are pleased that we are able to keep adapting our buildings, making the most economic use of them, while ensuring that we are making our services as accessible as possible to all our residents”, said Cllr Parry Batth, executive member for environment and leisure.
While these works are taking place our residents will still be able to use the library. There may be some noise and disruption whilst the work is carried out, and we apologise for the inconvenience this may cause”.
Once the work is completed residents will still be able to access all the library services they are used to when visiting the building.
