Tickets are now on sale for teenagers in Wokingham borough who want to become safe new drivers at a pre-driver training event on Thursday 20 February at the Community Trust Academy, Madejski Stadium, Reading.
Drivestart is a one-day pre-driver course for 15 to 19 year olds who are applying for their provisional driving licence.
For only £20 a ticket, students can take part in a number of interactive sessions including:
•How to apply for a licence, the highway code and the tests you will need to pass
•Hazard perception
•How to operate a vehicle, and what manoeuvres make up part of the test
•The costs of owning a car
•Vehicle maintenance
•Scene management - what to do if you break down or arrive at a collision
Running from 10am – 3pm, the award winning course also gives teens the chance to get behind the wheel on a taster driving lesson with a qualified instructor.
Wokingham Borough Council’s pre-driver training sessions have been running for the past decade in Wokingham borough and have given over 1,000 young people the skills and information necessary for a safe and enjoyable motoring life.
