Tickets are now on sale for teenagers in Wokingham borough who want to become safe new drivers at a pre-driver training event on Thursday 20 February at the Community Trust Academy, Madejski Stadium, Reading.

Drivestart is a one-day pre-driver course for 15 to 19 year olds who are applying for their provisional driving licence.

For only £20 a ticket, students can take part in a number of interactive sessions including:

•How to apply for a licence, the highway code and the tests you will need to pass

•Hazard perception

•How to operate a vehicle, and what manoeuvres make up part of the test

•The costs of owning a car

•Vehicle maintenance

•Scene management - what to do if you break down or arrive at a collision

Running from 10am – 3pm, the award winning course also gives teens the chance to get behind the wheel on a taster driving lesson with a qualified instructor.

Wokingham Borough Council’s pre-driver training sessions have been running for the past decade in Wokingham borough and have given over 1,000 young people the skills and information necessary for a safe and enjoyable motoring life.

To book a place on the course, head to our My Journey website.

Can’t make that date? Don’t worry, the course will be held again on Thursday 28 May and Thursday 23 July 2020.
