It’s the final countdown for this weekend’s family-friendly Marvellous Festival at Dinton Pastures!
The stage is being set for a line-up of top tributes acts inspired by legends such as Abba, Adele, the Beatles, Brian Adams, Coldplay, Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, Foo Fighters, Madness, Motown, Phil Collins, Prince, Queen and Take That.
There will also be a second stage with up and coming artists while other attractions will include a big kid's village, fun fair, food and drink stalls plus a new addition for this year - a big top circus featuring jugglers, acrobats, specialist acts, magicians and clowns.
Last year’s Marvellous extravaganza was a great success and we’re expecting an encore performance this year.
Don’t forget the festival gates open at 12noon on both Saturday and Sunday although parking is available from 10am.
Getting to the festival
If you’re parking, remember to access the festival from Sandford Lane. Alternatively, why not leave the car at home and use the great drop off and pick up area via the main entrance on Davis Street? Please follow the directions.
It’s an easy way to get into the festival and will make the whole process much smoother although some patience may be required at peak times before the first acts hit the stage at 1.30pm.
From Woodley you are welcome to walk through the normal network of paths in the country park to get to the festival.
Respect our neighbours
We’re expecting it to be very busy around the country park over the whole weekend so please do remember to respect our neighbours.
So, please don’t wait in the street to pick people up and leave engines running outside people’s houses. There is a traffic regulation order in place meaning you’re committing an offence if you park your vehicle in the coned off areas. Police will be on site throughout the weekend.
Please also show consideration by keeping noise to a minimum on the way out, not dropping litter and listening to marshals.
And make sure you’re not surprised by any rain or changeable weather conditions. We’re all prepared but please make sure you are too.
Think about how you’ll get here depending on the conditions: whether you’ll drive, use the pick-up area or get dropped off.
Tickets
Tickets are still available and cost £60 for the weekend (£30 for children) or £38 (£19 for children) for day tickets (Saturday or Sunday) with weekend, camping/glamping packages available.
