Budding tennis fans can make the most of Wimbledon fever this summer on newly - refurbished tennis courts at Chestnut Park in Woosehill.
The courts have been revitalised by Wokingham Borough Council using developer contributions, giving them new fencing, court markings, nets, ports and gates. Tennis operator, GDtennis, which manages facilities at Cantley Park, will run the courts.
The cost of a family membership will be £65 per year – for all family members to play at either sites. Or £8 per person per court to play as you go.
Cllr Norman Jorgensen, executive member for environment, sports, environmental health, leisure and libraries, said: “These enhanced courts help us to provide even more excellent, low cost opportunities for our local residents to enjoy sport.
“Tennis is a great way for all of people of all ages and abilities to keep fit, stay healthy and have fun.”
