It’s time to save a date in your diaries as the new Wokingham town centre Premier Inn hotel at Elms Field will be officially opened by the Wokingham Borough Mayor, Cllr Bill Soane, on Friday November 15 at 11.30.

And to celebrate their grand opening, the team from the new Premier Inn will be on hand from 11.30am to 1pm at their ‘open house’ event showing local people round the new 95 bedroom hotel and serving up some celebratory bucks fizz in the Thyme Restaurant and bar.

“We’re very pleased to welcome Premier Inn to Elms Field. They continue to prove themselves as one of the country’s leading hotel chains, regularly winning awards as the travellers choice of hotel, whether for business or leisure.” Said Bernie Pich, assistant director of commercial property.

Carolyn Floyd, new openings project manager at Premier Inn, said: “We can’t wait to open the doors at our new Wokingham hotel.  Premier Inn Wokingham will be our very latest hotel offering the excellent standards, great service and brilliant value for money we are known for.

“As a business we always recruit locally.  We have had great success recruiting in Wokingham, with most of the 26-strong team living in the local area, and the team’s pre-opening training has been full of energy and a lot of fun.

“We’re really looking forward to welcoming guests, becoming part of Wokingham’s business community and adding another excellent new location to our growing network.”

Bernie continued: “Premier Inn staff also have a fantastic record of giving back to their local areas and the Wokingham team are no exception as they are keen to make sure they are embedded at the heart of the community.

“The run up to the opening has already seen them out and about helping with the recent community litter picks, collecting money for charity in the town centre and signing up to help out at the Winter Carnival later this month. We hope our local residents will wish them well and welcome them to the town.”

The new 95 bedroom Wokingham Town Centre Premier Inn hotel also benefits from all of the little details that add up to make Premier Inn such a great place to stay, including luxury Hypnos beds, seriously tasty food served up in their onsite Thyme restaurant and free Wi-Fi. The chain also prides themselves on being family friendly offering a range of large family rooms, a great children’s menu, and their fabulous offer that kids under 16 stay for free with a free breakfast as well.
