The eighth Have a Safe Christmas roadshow being organised by Wokingham Borough Council and its partners will take place next month (December).
The event (details below) will offer residents the chance to meet representatives from the emergency services, the borough council’s trading standards, public health and community safety team and others involved in keeping people safe over the festive period.
The borough council’s trading standards team will be providing information about counterfeit goods and rogue traders and they will be joined by other council services including licensing and environmental health.
Interested residents can also meet representatives from Berkshire Women’s Aid emergency support, Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service – who will be sharing information about candle safety and checking Christmas lights – as well as Thames Valley Police.
