Improvements at Carnival Pool

Young swimmers in Wokingham Borough will have even more fun at the Carnival Pool, thanks to new play equipment which has recently been installed.

Some £30,000 worth of improvements have been made to the beach pool, funded by section 106 money.

The beach pool is ideal for young children as the water is shallow and the new play equipment means all ages can have fun splashing in the water and improving their water confidence. Carnival Pool also has a separate teaching pool and a 25metre main pool, so there really is something for everyone.

Cllr Angus Ross, executive member for environment, said ‘It’s great to see this new play equipment and the improvements made to the beach pool at Carnival Pool.

“It will no doubt make swimming an even more fun activity for children and families, as well as helping them to keep active.  Hopefully it will make the children eventually more confident to learn to swim in the main pool.”
