Family-friendly Marvellous Festival will be returning to Dinton Pastures Country Park in Hurst next summer, following a phenomenally successful first year this July.
It will take place from Friday July 28 until Sunday July 30 on the former Hurst Golf Course and will feature a variety of covers bands as well as a big kid's village, fun fair, performance tent, food and drink stalls and an area for camping.
The line-up is yet to be decided but previously included music inspired by Queen, T-Rex, AC/DC, Bruno Mars, Rod Stewart, Adele and Coldplay.
Cllr Parry Batth, deputy executive member for environment, said: "As a result of the incredibly successful first year I am pleased to announce the Marvellous Festival will be returning to the Wokingham Borough next July.
"Back in 2014 we carried out a consultation asking residents what they wanted to see happen at the country park, and there was overwhelming demand for an event such as this. Feedback we received throughout the weekend, and following the event, has been fantastic with residents telling us how great it was to have something like this on their doorsteps. They said they can’t wait for it to return next year."
Peter Lincoln, Marvellous Festival director, said: "I am extremely pleased to announce the Marvellous Festival will be returning to Dinton Pastures next summer and our partnership is continuing with Wokingham Borough Council. Marvellous is a very special brand of family entertainment, unique in its approach to the festival experience, and we hope it will be even more successful in 2017."
Early-bird tickets are now on sale and are available from the Marvellous Festival website.
