Mayor of Wokingham Borough, Cllr John Kaiser, visited Wokingham delivery office earlier today (Wednesday 12 December) to see first-hand the operation of delivering Christmas post and to pass on early season’s greetings to its dedicated, hardworking staff.
The Mayor was shown around by the delivery office manager and introduced to the postmen and women who will be pulling out all the stops to sort and deliver mail across the Wokingham Borough in the forthcoming busy Christmas period.
“At no other time is the hard work and dedication of postmen and women clearer than during the festive period. There is a huge amount of effort and dedication that goes into delivering for Christmas all over Wokingham Borough” said Cllr John Kaiser, Mayor of Wokingham Borough.
“It was great to meet the team and thank everyone for the extraordinary lengths they go to ensure parcels and cards are delivered on time, as well as for delivering our mail services all through the year, whatever the weather.”
The last recommended posting dates for Christmas are Tuesday 18 December for second class, Thursday 20 December for first class and Saturday 22 December for special delivery.
