Wokingham Borough Council is producing a Joint Minerals and Waste Plan which will guide minerals and waste decision making in the borough up to 2036. The plan will guide future locations for sand and gravel extraction as well as waste management, such as recycling plants, biomass production and waste treatment facilities.

The Council is working in partnership with Bracknell Forest Council, Reading Borough Council and The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

Two public events have been organised to provide an update on the Draft Plan. Each event is located close to a site that is proposed to be allocated in the Draft Plan:

  •  Arborfield Green Leisure Centre, Sheerlands Road, Arborfield, RG2 9GB in relation to Land at Bridge Farm, Arborfield: Wednesday 18 July from 7pm to 9pm

  • Knowl Hill Village Hall, The Terrace, Knowl Hill, Reading RG10 9XB in relation to Star Works, Knowl Hill: Tuesday 24 July from 7pm to 9pm

This is your opportunity to hear about how and why the Draft Plan has been prepared, and future stages of the process.

Further public engagement will take place, with a public consultation scheduled to open in August and end in October.
