We now know who will be standing in the Police and Crime Commissioner election for the Thames Valley on 5 May.

The Police and Crime Commissioner is responsible for making sure Thames Valley Police is an efficient and effective force. For more information on the candidates, and to find out more about the role of the Police and Crime Commissioner, visit the PCC website. There is still time to register to vote at this election – the deadline is 18 April. To register to vote, residents should visit the voter registration website.
David Buckle, Police Area Returning Officer for the Thames Valley, said: "Now the candidates have been announced, I’d urge everybody to have a look at the Choose My PCC website, so they know more about all of the candidates standing. This is also a good opportunity for a reminder – if you haven’t registered to vote yet, you need to do so by 18 April."
