Wokingham Borough Council’s Scrutiny Committees are considering their work programmes for the forthcoming year and would like to hear the views of residents and local groups about issues of interest or concern.
Checks and balances
The Scrutiny Committees are part of the checks and balances which ensure that Council decision-making is sound and delivers value for money for the Borough’s residents.
Issues considered recently include the performance of schools and health providers, town centre regeneration, grass cutting, waste and recycling and the school crossing patrol service. Basically, the Scrutiny Committees can look at any issue which affects or may affect our local communities.
Submit
If you like to submit an issue for consideration by the Scrutiny Committees, please complete the Scrutiny Request form or contact the Council’s Scrutiny Officer, Neil Carr: neil.carr@wokingham.uk). The deadline for the submission of issues is 8 March 2019.
